Volunteer

 As future hygienists, we love being in a career field that's focus is on helping those in our community.  We have had several opportunities this year to be involved in volunteer work both as student hygienists and through our Smile's Club.

We were able to visit two separate retirement communities and provide denture cleaning as well as some oral health education.  We loved all the stories that were shared with us from the elderly retirement members.

As a tradition, Cindy Harding takes the junior class out for ice cream after visiting the retirement homes.  It's definitely a tradition we all enjoyed!!!

Every year CSI holds a giant Easter egg hunt on campus for the children in our community.  The Smile's Club was able to host a booth handing out free toothbrushes and playing games.  We loved all the interaction with the kids!
