Class of 2013: Graduation

Tomorrow the dental hygiene class of 2013 is graduating and we can't be more excited! The journey to this day has been long and hard. I remember when we had our orientation two years ago, and Cindy Harding told us this journey is like climbing a mountain. As soon as we reach one mountain top, there is another right behind it. She encouraged us to stop and enjoy the view from the top, but to then keep climbing and reach for the next mountain top. Girls, we have finally reached our mountain top and I have enjoyed every bit of the climb with you. I can't tell you how much each of you has touched my life, and how important that has been to me. We each started out unsure of how to juggle the classes, tests, and teaching styles. We each hit a breaking point where we felt like we couldn't go forward another day. We encouraged each other and pushed each other when times were hard. We have laughed and been told to quiet down pretty much everywhere we went. We have cried and comforted each other during the times when we thought we couldn't do it. But, most of all, we made friendships that will bond us together for the rest of our lives. I wish each of you the best as you now continue your climb and reach for the next mountain top.
