For the first time, we were given the opportunity to contribute to the CSI Health Fair of 2010. It enabled us to show off our new Health Science and Human Services building as well as get our name out for being the first Dental Hygiene Program to come to Twin Falls. We had the lovely Toothfairy (also known as Kylar) join us to get pictures with the children that attended. We also had a raffle for an Oral B toothbrush and a whitening kit, which became the main attraction of our booth. The proceeds of the money earned from the raffle tickets go to our Smiles Club, so that we can travel to less fortunate areas to provide volunteer dental care to those in need. Another main attraction was the clinics that we will be hosting in our Dental Clinic starting in the Fall of 2011. Many people were interested in the time and dates for our clinics, where we provide very affordable dental care under the supervision of Dentists. This was very encouraging to us, considering we need at least 60 patients in order to meet our credentials! Thank you everyone, for your contribution to our program and the money we raised to share our knowledge and experience with others inside and outside our area!
Here is an article that was published in the Times News for the Health Fair:
